This is a great week of challenges for Spanish golfers around the world. In the center of all eyes is Jon Rahm, who has a great opportunity to become #1 in the World Ranking if he wins the WM Phoenix Open, which is held in ‘his’ Arizona .
The DP World Tour, for its part, arrives in Singapore to play the Singapore Classic with the presence of six Spaniards; among them, Adri Arnaus and Rafael Cabrera, very solid last week in the United Arab Emirates.
In Morocco, and we are now talking about women’s golf, a classic circulates such as the Lalla Meryem Cup, a tournament with great memories for Nuria Iturrioz, winner in 2016 and 2019. The Balearic Islands golfer is one of the Spanish assets this week.
The Challenge Tour also holds its second event on the calendar, the Dimension Data Pro-Am, again in South Africa. A good opportunity for us to look out for our first victory on a circuit that is always propitious. It is in the hands of nine golfers.
And also, two other attractive events: before the LIV Golf Tour starts, Sergio García and Eugenio López-Chacarra play the International Series Oman, a test of the Asian Tour calendar; and the Champions Tour changes scenery and lands in Morocco with Miguel Ángel Jiménez, José María Olazábal and Santiago Luna.
