Handicap Results – 1st Event

On Tuesday, March 31, taking advantage of the Easter school holidays, the first event of the BANSANDER Regional Junior Circuit “Future Champions” was held at the Golf Celia Barquín–Abra del Pas course.

The excellent condition of the course, combined with favorable weather, contributed to a smooth competition and allowed the young players to demonstrate a high level of play throughout the day.

In addition, this opening event had an added incentive, as it counted towards qualification for the Spanish Under-16 Golf Championship.

In the cadet category, Lucía González Ortega delivered the best performance of the day, winning both the scratch and handicap classifications.

In the children’s category, Marina González Ortega achieved the best result in the scratch classification, while Diego Alonso López secured first place in the handicap classification.

Meanwhile, in the alevín (under-12) category, Nicolás Gómez Cacicedo was the standout player, achieving the best result in both scratch and handicap.

The BANSANDER Regional Junior Circuit “Future Champions” consists of four events. The next one will take place on June 6 at the Nestares Golf Course. The circuit will then continue on June 20 at Severiano Ballesteros Lavín–La Junquera Golf Course and will conclude on July 7 at Real Golf de Mataleñas.
