Results

From October 24 to 26, at the course of Club de Golf El Saler (Valencia), the Spanish International Amateur Women’s Stroke Play Championship took place, a highly prestigious tournament on the national women’s golf calendar.

This year, the Cantabrian federation felt especially represented thanks to the presence of Inés González Ortega, who proudly defended Cantabria’s colors with commitment and strong play. The championship was contested over 54 holes Stroke Play Scratch across three consecutive days (18 holes each day). After the second round, a cut was made, with the top 50 players, including ties for 50th place, advancing to the final round.

Over the three days of competition, Inés delivered a commendable performance. She finished T-46th with a total of +25 over par (76 + 77 + 88 = 241 strokes) according to the official leaderboard. While she may not have ranked among the top finishers, her result reflects the dedication of a young player eager to grow in women’s golf. During a demanding week, she maintained focus during the first two rounds with solid play, before facing a more challenging final day that affected her score. Participation in a tournament of this level provides her with valuable experience for upcoming events.
