Second training camp of José Antonio Salas with the Men’s Junior Working Group

Second training camp of the year for the RFEG Men’s Junior Working Group. Fifteen players have reinforced the concepts worked on in the first meeting with the professionals of the Juvenile Technical Committee this weekend at the National Golf Center in Madrid and the Excellence Center.

The fifteen players are the same ones who participated in the first camp at the end of January: the Valencians Miguel Fuertes, Juan Miró, and Graciliano Ballesteros; the Andalusians Samuel Love, Luis del Rosal, Martín Cervera, Pedro Tineo, and Oliver de Wint; the Cantabrian José Antonio Salas; the Asturian Ignacio Adaro; the Aragonese Mario Enguita and Nicolás González; the Murcian Bruno Quinto; the Galician Jorge de la Riva; and the Catalan Álvaro González.

These players were under the direction of the coaches Kiko Luna, Toni Planells, Felipe Rodríguez, and Borja Nieto, the physical trainer Francis Iguacel, sports psychologist Óscar del Río, and the sports director of the Juvenile Technical Committee, Juan José Grañeda.

During this camp, the golfers underwent technical monitoring and evaluation of the objectives set in all areas during the January camp. They also completed a short game test (Pelz test), worked on pitch shot techniques with different trajectories, short and long bunker shots, specific putting techniques, as well as the implementation of routines and training exercises (falls, alignment, and strength). They also did specific physical work and personalized mental training, and enjoyed a Match Play competition.

As is customary, the participants trained in groups rotating through all the workstations: short game, physical preparation, swing, mental preparation, etc.
