This weekend the Junior Technical Committee’s Men’s Working Group got underway. Fifteen players have prepared the challenges of the 2025 season at the RFEG Centre of Excellence and at the National Golf Centre, the meeting’s point of operations.
The Valencians Miguel Fuertes, Juan Miró and Graciliano Ballesteros, the Andalusians Samuel Love, Luis del Rosal, Martín Cervera, Pedro Tineo and Oliver de Wint, the Cantabrian José Antonio Salas, the Asturian Ignacio Adaro, the Aragonese Mario Enguita and Nicolás González, the Murcian Bruno Quinto, the Galician Jorge de la Riva and the Catalan Ávaro González have been the ones mentioned.
All of them have been under the orders of coaches Kiko Luna, Toni Planells, Felipe Rodríguez and Borja Nieto, physical trainer Francis Iguacel, sports psychologist Óscar del Río, CTJ sports director Juan José Grañeda and coordinator Jorge Fernández.
On the other hand, the physiotherapist specialised in golf José Mata has been in charge of carrying out the specific physiotherapy examination for golfers in order to ensure the health of the players and prevent possible sports injuries.
Also, during the concentration, the renowned Doctor Javier Cerrato, medical advisor of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, has given a talk to the boys under the title ‘Healthy habits’.
During this weekend, the players have undergone the technical check-up of the objectives set in all areas in the pre-season training camp in November 2024 and, relying on the technology of the Centre of Excellence, have done specific work on putting, have learned to plan and develop a good practice round and know how to evaluate the training and competition rounds, and have strengthened the mental side, among other tasks.
